I have an apron and I'm not afraid to use it!
Actually, at one time I would have considered myself drastically domestically challenged in the kitchen. However, in the last few years I've slowly grown into my epicurionism (is that a word?). I am an admitted foodie, devout Rachael Ray fan (on snow days only), and Food Network is watched as much as any other channel.
I always loved the idea of baking fabulous creations and making glossy treats, but thought I really needed more Martha or Paula in my giddy up than Broadway showtunes.
So, a couple of years ago I made a resolution to simply cook more....and I did. Not a lot, mind you, because for me to cook at all was more than what I had been doing! Turns out, I'm decent at baking and confections....plus, it's kind of therapeutic. And, yes, I can channel my inner Martha (sans house arrest bracelet).
